Why the change to Sana?
The Oscar Classic and the Sana 707 are the exact same juicer, manufactured in South Korea by Hurom. In Europe, the UK, and the USA, this model has always been sold as the Sana 707. Aligning with these markets gives South African customers better long-term support, access to global upgrades, and improved value — while keeping the same trusted Oscar performance.
Upgrades and improvements
Moving forward under the Sana brand brings meaningful benefits for Oscar customers:
- Celery insert included — boosts yield when juicing celery stalks and leafy greens, cementing its position as the best juicer for celery.
- Premium collection bowls — a one-litre borosilicate glass juice jug (with strainer lid) and a stainless-steel pulp bowl included as standard.
- Optional oil extractor — a European-made stainless steel attachment (exclusive to Sana) for fresh cold-pressed oils such as flaxseed, sesame, and sunflower.
- Lower spare part prices than previous Oscar models, with full local support in South Africa.

Designed for therapeutic juicing
The Sana 707 is purpose-built for health-focused juicing. It handles almost all fresh produce with ease, and is regarded as the best juicer for leafy greens and fibrous vegetables. It is especially effective with:
- Celery & leafy greens: kale, spinach, wheatgrass, herbs.
- Vegetables: beetroot, carrot, ginger, turmeric.
- Fruit: apples, pears, citrus — best used sparingly to avoid excess sugar.
- Lemons with peel: adds zest and nutrients (we don’t recommend juicing oranges or grapefruit with peel).
Ginger shots: The Sana’s horizontal auger makes it one of the best juicers for ginger — producing smooth, concentrated ginger shots with high yield and very dry pulp.
Unlike vertical “hands-free”/batch juicers — which generally perform best when recipes contain more soft fruits — the Sana’s horizontal mechanism processes long, stringy fibres (celery, leafy greens, ginger) without clogging, then expels dry pulp for excellent yield.
Three screens (strainers) for total flexibility
- Fine juicing strainer — smooth, clear juice with minimal pulp.
- Coarse juicing strainer — great for softer fruits (berries, pineapple) or a pulpier, more filling juice.
- Blank (homogenizing) screen — for food processing (healthy additive-free sorbets, nut butters, baby food, dips). This screen also works with the included nozzles to make fresh pasta and frozen desserts.

Much appreciated. Regarding the smaller feeding chute - the horizontal mechanism of the Oscar Juicer wouldn't work with a large feeding chute. This setup is far more effective at juicing leafy greens, celery etc than the vertical juicers with large feeding chutes. What they don't tell you about the vertical machines with large chutes is that you still have to cut up hard veg like beetroot and carrot. You even need to cut up celery. With the Oscar you can juice whole sticks of celery. I personally find that the juicers with large feeding chutes only save you time if you are juicing loads of apples, which I wouldn't recommend due to the sugar content.
