For over two decades, the Oscar Juicer has been South Africa’s most trusted and loved brand of cold press juicers. Known for its reliability, performance, and exceptional juice quality, the Oscar has earned a special place in thousands of kitchens across the country.

Today, we are excited to share an important update.
We have made the strategic decision to reintroduce the Oscar Classic Juicer under the Sana brand name.

Sana is a premium European brand, with all juicers manufactured by Hurom in South Korea – the world’s leading juicer factory. Well established across Europe, the UK, and the USA, Sana is renowned for including premium accessories with all their products, setting them apart from the competition. This means the juicer you know and love is still made to the highest standards, in the same factory, with the same trusted engineering – now with even more value added.

The Oscar Classic DA-950 is now proudly available as the Sana 707C in South Africa. By joining the global Sana family, we align with leading international markets and gain access to an exciting range of premium Sana products and accessories.

What’s new with the Sana 707C?

• Dedicated Celery Attachment – Designed to increase juice yield from celery and leafy greens.

• Premium Accessories – No more plastic bowls. Your Sana 707 ships with a borosilicate glass juice jug and stainless steel pulp bowl.

• Optional Stainless Steel Oil Extractor – Make fresh, cold-pressed oils at home.

Horizontal vs. Hands-Free Juicing – Choosing the Right Fit

Hands-free (batch) juicers are excellent for juicing a mixture of fruits and vegetables, and they handle many types of produce well. However, they are less efficient when it comes to fibrous ingredients like celery, leafy greens, and ginger, where the horizontal design of the Sana 707 truly shines.

If your focus is on therapeutic juicing – nutrient-rich greens, herbs, and tougher vegetables – the Sana 707 is the stronger performer. It also juices root vegetables like beetroot, carrot, and ginger with ease.

Cleaning time matters:

• Sana 707 – Quick and simple, with smooth surfaces and easy-to-rinse parts. Average cleaning time: about 1 minute.

• Hands-Free Juicers – More components and internal surfaces to clean. Average cleaning time: about 4 minutes.

The launch of the Sana 707C is just the beginning. In the months ahead, we will introduce Sana juicers catering to every juicing style:

Lower spare part costs – another big benefit

By joining Sana’s global family, we can now supply spare parts at a much lower cost. Being part of an established international brand gives us access to more efficient sourcing and distribution, allowing us to pass these savings directly on to our customers.

We will continue to keep spare parts available for the previous Oscar Juicer models, but going forward, the cost of spare parts for Sana models will be significantly lower, making ownership more affordable and ensuring long-term support.

The Oscar Classic and the Sana 707 – The Same Juicer You Trust

We want to reassure our customers that the Oscar Classic DA-950, the latest Oscar juicer in South Africa, is the same machine as the Sana 707.

Sana worked closely with the factory to create the 707, and holds co-ownership of the design tools together with the manufacturer, Hurom. In fact, the 707 was originally introduced to the South African market because there was no new model available under the Oscar brand at the time. The juicer itself is originally a Sana product, built to the same high standards and specifications you’ve always trusted.

More than just juice

• Fine Juicing Screen – For leafy greens and root vegetables, along with small amounts of softer fruits.

• Coarse Juicing Screen – For softer fruits and mixed fruit–vegetable combinations, or when you prefer a slightly thicker, pulpier juice that feels more filling.

• Homogenizing (Blank) Screen – For nut butters, sorbets, and healthy food processing.
